Log into the VDC and click the ‘Admin’ tab.
Click the ‘Category’ tab.
Enter the details of the new category.
Name : The database name
Display Name : The name the user will select on screen
Description : Explanation of the category
XSL : This will be populated if XSL is used
DocName Attribute : The attribute used to create the document name
Description Attribute : The attribute that will be displayed as the description in the search results.
Folder Attribute : The attribute used to create a folder
Cache Enabled : Set to ‘No’
Click the ‘Add’ button to create the new category.
Once the category has been created, the new category must be associated with attributes.
Click the ‘Category / Attribute’ link in the ‘Adapter List’ on the left side.
