Front Panel Method
- Power off scanner and Open the ADF Cover
- With the ADF Cover opened, press and release the {Power} button while holding down the {Scan/Enter} button to turn scanner on in Maintenance Mode.
- Select “English” using {arrow} button then push {Scan/Enter} button
- Use {arrow} button to scroll to Menu number 10 “Emulation Mode” and push {Scan/Enter} button
- Use {arrow} key to select scanner model to emulate, then press {Scan/Enter} button
- Configure? Use {arrow} key to select “Yes” then push {Scan/Enter} button
- After display changes back to “Maintenance Menu Mode 10” power off scanner.
- Power scanner back up‐ Done!

Emulation Tool Method
1) Browse the Installation DVD to D:\Tools\FTLyEmu
2) Run FTLyEmu.exe
3) The Scanner Product ID Changer
4) Select the emulation mode

5) Click OK
6) Click OK when the Success window appears
7) Reboot your scanner. You will need to load the appropriate drivers for the
model scanner you are emulating. You can find them here:
8) If you re‐launch the Emulation Tool the model scanner you are emulating
should appear in the window
9) To revert back, simply repeat steps 1 – 7 and choosing Original Product ID at
Step 4
